Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

We operate an independent referral service that connects business owners in Louisiana with licensed CPAs. This policy explains what information we collect when you use this site, why we collect it, and what choices you have.

By using this site or submitting an inquiry, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you submit a match request, download a resource, or contact us, you provide your name, business name, email address, phone number, location (city, parish, or ZIP), entity type, industry, annual revenue range, number of employees, services you need, and any notes you choose to add.

Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider logs standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, referring page, and pages visited. This is used for security and performance monitoring.

We do not ask for and do not want you to submit tax identification numbers, Social Security numbers, bank account details, financial statements, or other sensitive documents through our forms.

How we use it

  • To match you with a licensed Louisiana CPA whose services and industry experience fit your request.
  • To deliver resource downloads and checklists to your email.
  • To respond to your inquiries and support requests.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the website.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We use the revenue range and employee count you provide only to assess fit with a CPA firm's client profile. We do not use it for advertising or profiling.

Sharing your information

We do not sell personal information to third-party data brokers. We share your information only in these limited ways:

With one CPA at a time. When you submit a match request, we share your inquiry details with a single licensed Louisiana CPA so they can review your requirements and contact you directly. If the match does not work out, we may share your details with another CPA only upon your request.

With service providers. Companies that host our website, process form submissions, or deliver email on our behalf, under confidentiality obligations.

In a business transfer. If the website asset is sold, merged, or transferred, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. The recipient will remain bound by this policy.

When required by law. To respond to lawful requests from public authorities, subpoenas, or court orders.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights under the Louisiana Data Privacy Act (LDPA), the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended (CCPA/CPRA), or similar laws:

  • Right to know what personal information we collect, use, and share.
  • Right to access a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to delete personal information we hold, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Right to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell personal information to data brokers, but you may ask us to stop sharing your information with new CPA firms at any time.
  • Right to appeal a decision we make about your privacy request.

To exercise any of these rights, submit a request through the contact form on this website. We respond within 45 days, as required by law. You will not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights.

You can unsubscribe from resource emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send.

Cookies and analytics

This site may use essential cookies required for it to function, and privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are most useful. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles. You can disable cookies in your browser settings without losing access to the site's core content.

Security and retention

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information you submit. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

We retain submitted information only as long as needed to make and follow up on a CPA match, deliver requested resources, and comply with legal obligations. Match inquiries that do not result in a connection are typically deleted within 24 months.

Business transfers

If the website asset is transferred, sold, or merged, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity. We will post a prominent notice on the site at least 14 days before any such transfer takes effect.

Children

This site is intended for business owners and adults aged 18 and older. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the homepage. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.

Contact

For privacy questions, data access requests, or to exercise any of the rights described above, use the contact form on this website. We respond to privacy requests within 45 days as required by applicable law.
